Benoit Bagur

Technical Director

Benoit has over 35 years of experience in automotive competition and development.

He started his career in 1985 at Bouhier Engineering, where he participated in the development of engines and chassis for circuit and rally cars of Peugeot Sport, Renault Sport, Alfa Romeo, and private clients (Ford Cosworth, Lancia Delta, BMW M3 of François Delecour).

He then became the technical manager for Philippe Gache in F3000 (1991).

He was responsible for engines for three seasons at Citroën Sport (2 Paris-Dakar and 15 rally raid races). Then he was the operations director for Fabien Giroix’s McLaren F1 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans (5th place).

From 1996 and for 14 years, he was the technical director (chassis and engines) of Seat Sport, where he accumulated 3 world rally titles in kit car (1996, 1997, and 1998), and then, 10 years later, 2 world manufacturer titles in FIA Touring WTCC (2008 and 2009).

From 2010, he started his own business and worked on numerous projects, notably for Skoda Motorsport (responsible for the development of the 1.6 Turbo engine of the WRC), for Exagon Engineering (development of the electric car ‘Furtive’), and for Ligier (site director of Ligier at Magny-Cours and development of the Ligier LMP ‘JS53 CN’ and ‘JSP3 LMP’).

Since 2018, Benoit has been the technical director of Delage Automobiles.
